Johnny Depp appeared at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) on Sunday night, more than two months after the end of his defamation lawsuit against Amber Heard.
Amber Heard’s sister, Whitney Heard, is not happy with Depp’s shocking behavior. In fact, he criticized MTV for putting Depp on the show.
Amber Heard’s naughty little sister
“@MTV You’re disgusting and obviously hopeless!” Whitney, 34, wrote on her Instagram account. “I really hope that none of the people who made this decision are girls. I’m with Amber Heard. »
Depp appeared at the VMAs via hologram
During Sunday’s show, Depp come out via a hologram dressed up as a silver astronaut photoshoot at the VMAs.
“Hey, you know what? I deserve this job,” Depp joked.
In one segment of the show, Depp once again joked about being unemployed.
“I want you to know that I have it for birthdays, bar mitzvahs, bat mitzvahs, weddings and proms,” she said. “Everything you need.”
MTV’s decision to include Depp was controversial
Like Whitney, journalist Alex Suskind was disgusted.
“Johnny Depp showing up at the VMAs for funny cameos is absolutely disgusting,” Suskind tweeted.
Others praised the channel
“Johnny Depp saying ‘Hey, I love that role’ is really funny, but you have to see Depp’s acting to see what it means,” said one person. “Having said that, kudos to the #VMAs for giving a disgraced man a chance to return to the limelight.”
Depp is doing great
Depp came to the VMAs more than two months after he won his libel suit against his wife Amber Heard, 36.
The 59-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean star has emerged from the legal battle unscathed, despite several allegations against him.
In addition to appearing at the VMAs, Depp is set to direct a film about Italian artist Amedeo Modigliani. He will be working on the film with Al Pacino and Barry Navidi.
According to TMZ, she signed a seven-figure, multi-year contract to continue being featured in Dior’s Eau Sauvage fragrance.
