Utah Volleyball 2022 Schedule Announces

PAAKAI TOWN – The University of Utah volleyball program has announced its 2022 program, which will feature competition against five Sweet 16 teams from last season and its open home tournament when the process begins. The Utes will be seen on the Pac-12 Networks 14 times in the fall and compete with 10 competing teams in all respects from last year.

“Our 2022 plan is no different than ever before,” the principal said Beth Launiere, who is entering his 33rd season at the helm of the program. “Our preseason was a tough game with the Pac-12 volleyball team always tough. Valley and Utah State.”

Utah Volleyball will begin the season with its annual home tournament – the Utah Classic – when it hosts Loyola Marymount, as well as the 2021 NCAA Tournament teams in Kansas and the Utah Valley. Utah will face Loyola Marymount and Kansas, a newcomer from the Sweet 16 run and the last 19 number from last year, on Friday, Aug. 26, at the Huntsman Center. The non-conference game continues with a trip to Lafayette, Ind., To compete in Purdue’s home game with UW-Milwaukee and Bradley with the Utes and Boilermakers. Utah is scheduled to play UW-Milwaukee and Purdue on Friday, Sept. 2, while fighting with Bradley the next day. Purdue finished the 2021 campaign by being ranked No. 6 in the last AVCA election and advanced to the Elite 8.

The Utes will enter one last game of the preseason before returning home when they attend San Diego’s home event on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 9-10. Utah opened the tournament against SMU on Friday, followed by games against UCONN and San Diego on Saturday.

Starting with a tournament against BYU state rivals, the Utes will play eight of their next 10 games within the friendly limits of the Jon M. Huntsman Center. Utah and BYU opened home on Friday, Sept.

Three of Utah’s first four weekends will be played in Salt Lake City, beginning with games against Colorado (Sept. 22) and Arizona (Sept. 24). Utah is short on track for tournaments at UCLA (Sept. 30) and USC (Oct. 2) before returning home for the next two weeks. Utah has previously hosted California (Oct. 7) and Stanford (Oct. 9), while Washington (Oct. 14) and Washington State (Oct. 16) will visit the city next weekend.

Utah then begins to change the home and road race when it travels to Oregon and Oregon State on Friday, Oct. 21, and Sunday, Oct. 23, respectively. The second half of the conference begins at the Huntsman Center with USC and UCLA coming Friday, Oct. 28, and Sunday, Oct. 30.

The Utes will travel to the Bay Area for games at Stanford (Nov. 4) and California (Nov. 6), and then look forward to the final home games of the season against Oregon State and Oregon. . The Utes and Beavers will play on Friday, Nov. 10, while the old day against the Ducks is set for Sunday, Nov. 20), Arizona State (Nov. 23), and Colorado (Nov. 25).
