Junior: Congratulations to our Junior Bs who opened their tournament with a single win over Borrisokane last Saturday evening. The score in the game was 1-18 and 2-14 with Brian Duffy earning the first half. The team is playing Knockshegowna in Round 2 which will be held in July.
The Junior As will play Toomevara on Day 3 of the tournament next Friday at 7:30 pm in Borrisoleigh.
Tipperary: It worked well for Sam O’Farrell and the Tipperary boys who earned Galway the All-Ireland semi-final last Sunday. Sam had a great game on the back wing and he captained this team in the All-Ireland final with Offaly on July 2. Greetings to all who participated.
Feile Handball: Saturday, June 18, saw Nenagh Handball Club players at the All-Ireland Handball Feile U15 Section in Tinryland, Carlow. After many nights of training, competitive games and under the tutelage of Eamonn Spillane they never left the field without a hand.
After being beaten by the strongest players and winning the first game, they reunited with the goodness of playing with great skill, determination and skill to win their opponents. duels remaining to secure the bronze medal status.
With four out of five players under the age of one this knowledge will lead to even better progress in the future. Congratulations to the players and thanks to Eamonn Spillane for her time and coaching skills.

Youth School: The Nenagh Éire Óg Gaelic Games Academy, sponsored by Albany Home & Decor and A Sportsman’s Dream, is pleased to announce that the team will be running a summer camp in August. Under 5: Our little ones continue to practice at 10 a.m. Saturday morning in the outdoor field – the end of the road. The boys had a lot of fun and we wanted to welcome the new boys who wanted to get involved. Boys born in 2017 are welcome to come and try the training, call John at 087-13650
Under 7: Under 7 boys will continue training Saturday from 10-11am and Wednesday from 6-7pm on the outdoor field. We always want to see new faces so boys born in 2015/16 will come. For more information call Alan at 087-7518789.
Under 9: Our boys under 9 hosted Durlas Óg and Portroe at McDonagh Park Nenagh last Saturday morning this morning for a fun hurling blitz. Lots of team work showed up from the boys, continued to practice at home and was very good at everything. Thanks to Dúrlas Óg and Portroe for visiting Nenagh and giving a big protest. Practice as usual during the week and football games are scheduled for next weekend.
Practice continues on Wednesdays from 5.45pm to 7pm outside. New boys born in 2013 and 2014 are always welcome. Call Cathal at 086-0806460 or social media sites with questions.
Under 11: Two U11 teams played against Silvermines at Dolla last Saturday morning and one team traveled to Portroe on Sunday morning to engage in a hurling blitz. All three games are very close and competitive. Training for throwing and football continues throughout the week. Next weekend, we will be playing Roscrea on a Friday evening and then playing football and football matches on Sunday in Nenagh. New players born in 2011 and 2012 will come to try. Under 13: Under 13A panel played Borrisoleigh last week and got the win from that team. The Under 13C team played Portroe last Friday evening and also won. On Wednesday night there will be a competitive match for Team A and Portroe in Portroe. Practice on Tuesday and Friday evenings of this week.
Under 15: Training continues Tuesday and Friday from 7-8 p.m.
Congratulations to Shane Gleeson and the boys who won their handball tournament last weekend in Carlow.
Under 17: U17 training continues every Monday and Wednesday at 6.50 pm.
