This year, we had a great season and a great crowd tour. We knew in big words, we were very weak because we had VAP status (right for elite chicken, memo or editor) on the wire. But we went further than we expected in looking at our previous games, because we were in a state of ignorance and we didn’t know the level of the game in this segment. We were 10 in the middle of the season, it reminds me of what we did years ago. Then we ask ourselves the question about the real value of our company. Was he cut off from playing anything else before taking care of this episode? Our players were skeptical. They took the time to admit they weren’t much, but it was better to play at this level and improve themselves, if that’s what they wanted. Of course, you can team up with 13 guys who are playing together and trying to do their best, but it’s not a team.
You said you were 10 in the half of the season… What made the team win in this second half of the competition?
In my view, one leader was lost in the world. That’s what made it hard for the players, because none of them felt this legitimacy. They have to make themselves understand what is expected of them. Outside of their work, they need leadership. I think the team was formed after we won Elite Val-d’Oise where by the end of the game, they all knew Adama Ouedraogo. A team is born, a force and a thirst for victories, because people know their level of play and ability to win. Yannick Verdier, our mentor, also knew how to recognize this power and put men in positions of responsibility. This alchemy is paid for and shared with the players. Today, I don’t think we are any better. We paid for our tuition but given our results in the second half of the semester, this is place 5 for us.
“This alchemy created by Yannick Verdier and worked with the players has borne fruit”
How do you think next season?
The team will be reorganized due to the departure of a number of players in the future: Lucas Rancé, a left -back and a very good defender who played in Annecy, Tanguy Lefur, a young midfielder who played at Angers, Ilies Hakiki, and pivot trained at Montpellier and played at Livry-Gargan after a move to Valence, and Andreï Vaknovich, a left-hander who came from Saint- Cyr-sur-Loire. However, we had to change the resignation of Nicolas Pavillard, the bodyguard, as he had been my assistant coach for three years and had held this position for six years. In the summer, she came back with the N1, before Cognac gave her the opportunity to train the women’s team on the N1. So I’m sure he can’t deny it. However, I trust him to be able to continue training our guards. At least, that’s what I like.
With this new company, what are your goals?
This new season with a new team, I think, is just as strong as this year. However, while this is not our main goal, why not consider a relationship in the future, with a second thought in mind? It’s probably time to start a better cycle, take us back in time and remind us that 15 years ago, we won the French N1 championship to move up to D2 …
“Why not think about a relationship in the future, with the knowledge of the second part?”
In general, how does the entire organization perform today?
